SGI is a security services company founded by Sarah F. Gordon. The founder of two other successful companies, Ms. Gordon has more than a decade of executive security-management experience, backed by extensive knowledge and education pertaining to the field of the private security industry. After apprenticing for a national security firm for over a decade, in positions of increasing responsibility, Ms. Gordon saw and realized the need to bring professionalism and a higher standard of quality to the industry.
Since starting SGI in 2011, Ms. Gordon has built the firm into one of the Midwest’s most trusted security companies. As chief executive officer, she has created a corporate infrastructure that invests in its employees. She also remains actively involved in daily operations and business development.
SGI is certified as a 100% women-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and as a 100% women-owned contractor by the Small Business Administration and General Services Administration (GSA).
Ms. Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is currently pursuing a second degree, in psychology, from the University of Minnesota.
Ms. Gordon is active in professional organizations including the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS). She also supports several local charities and organizations, such as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the ReadIndeed Foundation, the National Stroke Association, Kids In Need Foundation and the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association.
